Rochdale Development Agency (RDA), acting on behalf of Rochdale Borough Council, is responsible for promoting the economic well-being of Rochdale Borough. The RDA works in partnership with the Council, the private sector, and other stakeholders to deliver new economic investment, physical development, and associated jobs for the benefit of the local community.
As part of our ambitious plans to regenerate the Borough, there is a strong focus on retaining and enhancing the exceptional range of heritage assets that the Borough has, which provide it with its unique character, including 5 Grade I and 21 Grade II* buildings.
The Council is undertaking a project to restore Broadfield Park Slopes, which form part of a Grade 2 listed park. This role will involve public-facing responsibilities, delivering work placements and archaeological activities with the local community.
The purpose of this apprenticeship is to train a suitable candidate who will support the Broadfield Park Slopes team in delivering community engagement. Community engagement includes activities that involve people with both the natural and cultural heritage of the slopes through formal education, learning, and volunteering. The apprentice will gain working knowledge of the project management process and associated activities while completing the Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship Level 4 course.
The successful candidate will be supported by the RDA Project Management Team, as well as special mentorship from Minerva Heritage and Get Up and Grow.
