Personal Assistant to the Group General Counsel

We’re recruiting for an experienced Personal Assistant to join us, supporting our Group General Counsel and two to three Directors. This is an intuitive role, and we’d love someone with direct experience in Legal, Finance and/or HR functions, preferably in a large, UK-listed organisation. Ideally, you’ll have a good understanding of how these functions support the wider business agenda and their roles in plc and Board governance frameworks.
This is a hybrid role and you'll be based in our London Paddington office on average 3 days a week, but flexibility will be required.
Responsibilities
1. Manage the diaries of the Group General Counsel and two to three Directors, ensuring time is managed efficiently and effectively and meetings are well planned.
2. Anticipate diary and meeting needs, prepare required papers and ensure rooms are appropriate for the topic and all materials are available.
3. Work cross functionally across the Kingfisher Group to ensure that calls, meetings and events are prepared in a way that maximises the General Counsel’s time.
4. Administrative tasks including managing and approving expenses, coding & invoices, monitoring budget spend, organising UK and international travel, accommodation and visas etc.
5. Assist with team events, training, and off-site meetings.
Qualifications
1. Previous personal/executive experience in a complex, multi-national company supporting at C-Suite and Board level. Experience working within a FTSE organisation is preferred.
2. A highly professional approach with a strong sense of personal integrity and discretion.
3. Clear, concise communication skills, able to communicate calmly and articulately with principals and stakeholders.
4. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities and tight deadlines, and proactively help to keep stakeholders organised.
5. Exceptional levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Highly discreet and trustworthy, including in relation to handling of highly sensitive and confidential information.
7. Able to build and maintain excellent relationships at all levels, both internally and externally with the ability to constructively challenge and influence where appropriate.
