Our projects include large residential, industrial, and commercial schemes with contract values over £30 million to smaller schemes and working for interesting clients including motor manufacturers, Schools/Universities, healthcare providers, contractors, developers etc. What you need to do to be effective in this role Produce structural engineering work packages from initial concept through to completion Produce calculations packages for Building Control submission Undertake survey inspections and produce written reports in good English on findings, set out in a logical manner with appropriate recommendations Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects Represent the company at external meetings with clients, contractors, and fellow professionals Deliver work to a fee and to timescales agreed Prepare client / project proposals Agree design philosophy / design fundamentals The skills and experience you need to have for this role Accredited civil or structural engineering degree or higher educational qualification (HNC/HND) Right to Work in the UK, without requiring visa sponsorship Some experience of drawing packages such as Revit, AutoCAD and Bluebeam would be an advantage You are passionate about our industry – this is really important – we love what we do and believe that the built environment plays a critical role in society, so we want people who feel the same, it’s what connects us You are curious, and eager to learn – this role places you in amongst our team of existing experts, who you can learn so much from.
