We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 nurse to join our Community Nursing Team in Barnstaple for a fixed term contract until the end of March 2025. We are also happy for this to be a secondment but you will need your manager's permission for this.
We need a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic and proactive team. Applicants will require good assessment, clinical and communication skills in order to deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients within their home environment, recognising when a patient is deteriorating and intervening and escalating concerns appropriately to optimise quality of life and reduce the risk of unnecessary hospital attendance.

Job responsibilities
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to provide a high standard of care and have good communication skills. Applicants must be well organised with a professional and approachable manner. They must be prepared to work as part of a team and autonomously.
We provide a robust induction period and would help and support you to gain all the necessary skills for this role.
General working pattern would be Monday-Friday 9-5 with approximately 1 weekend on in 5, the hours can be negotiable to meet the needs of the service.
A full driving licence and a mode of transport suitable to cover a large geographical area will be essential.
