Who we are supporting
The NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and information technology (IT) services to NATO's member countries and its partners. The agency was established in 2012 and is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.
The NCIA provides a wide range of services, including:
* Cyber Security: Advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect NATO's communication networks and information systems against cyber threats.
* Command and Control Systems: Development and maintenance of systems used by NATO's military commanders to plan and execute operations.
* Satellite Communications: Services to enable secure and reliable communications between NATO forces.
* Electronic Warfare: Services to support NATO's mission to detect, deny, and defeat threats to its communication networks.
* Information Management: Management of NATO's information technology infrastructure, including databases, applications, and servers.
The program
Assistance and Advisory Service (AAS)
The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is NATO's principal C3 capability deliverer and CIS service provider. It provides, maintains, and defends the NATO enterprise-wide information technology infrastructure.
To provide these critical services, the NCI Agency needs to build and maintain a high-performance engaged workforce, which consists of NATO International Civilians (NICs), Military (Mil), and Interim Workforce Consultants (IWCs). The IWCs are a critical part of the overall NCI Agency workforce.
Essential Skills and Experience
* ITIL Foundation Certification;
* NATO Resource Management Education Programme (RMEP) Course;
* Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements;
* Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO, ACT & NCI Agency;
* HR background in areas such as HR policy, performance, recruitment, and workforce planning;
* Experience in facilitating workspace management and onboarding activities;
* Experience with financial and administrative processes to support resource planning, budgeting, and management in a technical environment;
* Knowledge of Service Management principles and experience in negotiating roles associated with a customer-provider relationship;
* High level of organizational and coordination skills;
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
* Experience working in NATO or NCI Agency and familiarity with NCI Agency organizational concepts.
Education
* A minimum of a Bachelor's degree at a nationally recognized/certified University in a related discipline (such as Business, Finance, etc.) and 2 years post-related experience; or at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post may compensate for the lack of a university degree.
