Reporting to Group CFO, the Head of Procurement will have a wide remit across several critical areas of the business.
Procurement, Stores, Facilities, Fleet and Inventory Management
Primary responsibilities:
* Accountable for the Procurement function within the Group providing strategic direction.
* Accountable to uphold and maintain the Group Procurement Policy at all times.
* Liaising with key company employees to determine their product and service needs.
* Performing all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts and tender management.
* Accountable for all commercial contract negotiations working with stakeholders ensuring protection for the Group.
* Accountable for RFP processes and control ensuring supplier selection is open, honest and transparent.
* Provide support to internal legal function on commercial contracts.
* Accountable for managing relationships and being the primary point of contact with strategic suppliers across the Group.
* Accountable for managing Inventory levels in the Group including implementing systems, controls, reporting and setting target inventory levels.
* Forecasting to predict future demand for goods, services, and purchase requisitions.
* Tracking key metrics and KPIs such as DIO to reduce costs.
* Analysing procurement data, conducting spend analysis, and preparing reports.
* Accountable to ensure that all travel arrangements for staff are aligned to the Group Travel and Expenses Policy.
* Develop, manage, and control the procurement budget ensuring monthly reporting against budget.
* Be responsible for upholding the Group Vehicle Policy, which includes purchasing of new vehicles when required, appointing service agents and maintenance.
* Be accountable to support the ESG KPIs and audits for supply chain.
* Be accountable for the development and implementation of sustainable procurement process to promote continual improvement in ESG performance for supply chain.
* Be supportive of team and help manage the facilities provider.
* Lead Property lease negotiations, rent reviews and renewals in conjunction with Head of Legal.
* Support the business in planning, designing and implementation of minor building changes including any office layout requirements.
* Conduct all sublet reviews and support the business in this activity.
* Manage all day to day activities of the procurement team made up of 6 full time staff.
* Experience using the procurement functionality with D365 software or an equivalent ERP system.
* Experience in a Senior procurement role in a commercial organisation, ideally within the engineering/utilities sector.
* Experience in managing a team across multiple geographic locations.
* Good interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
* A good understanding of the standard legal requirements/wording within typical supplier contracts.
* Experience in building financial models to evaluate the financial returns and viability of capital projects using payback, ROI and IRR type metrics.
* Good written skills including the preparation of presentations.
