Lanchester Wine Cellars, based in Annfield Plain, are looking to recruit a Business Administration Apprentice to support and engage with various parts of the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity which will see you develop skills and knowledge whilst working towards a recognised level 3 qualification as part of the apprenticeship programme.
Wage
£15,704 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age
National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices
£7.55 per hour for the 1st year of the apprenticeship

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
Your daily duties for the role will include;
* Working with a variety of administration teams to develop a range of skills and knowledge to add to your portfolio.
* Answering internal and external phone calls.
* Processing orders using our systems and procedures.
* Hand labelling products for distribution- we have some bespoke products that are hand labelled by the team.
* Manning reception and working with the team to deliver a high level of customer service. This will include greeting internal and external stakeholders, answering enquiries via email, face to face and telephone, you will also cover other administration duties.
* Potential to work with in house design teams to develop labelling and designs.
* General administration duties and team support, this will include answering emails, telephone calls, face to face enquiries, filing, scanning, general office duties and team support.
Initial workplace training will be delivered to the successful candidate, along with development provided through Derwentside College. You will learn the basic induction skills including the fire process and health and safety.

Course contents
* Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
* Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals. Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management. Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work. Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures. Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.
* Exercises proactivity and good judgement. Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way. Seeks advice of more experienced team members when appropriate.
* Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation. Demonstrates ability to influence and challenge appropriately. Becomes a role model to peers and team members, developing coaching skills as they gain area knowledge.
* Demonstrates good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing or on digital platforms. Uses the most appropriate channels to communicate effectively. Other requirements
Candidates must be able to travel to work for a 09:00 start (please check travel arrangements prior to applying) Candidates are expected to be computer literate, focused and expected to work in a busy office with large volumes of workloads. Due to nature of the role working with alcohol candidates are required to be 18 years or over.
