Bookkeeper - Redruth - £25-32,000 DOE Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to be assisting a highly reputable and long-standing professional services business, who seek to recruit a Bookkeeper. This role will be office based and is offered on a permanent and full-time basis, although applications from those seeking part-time hours will also be considered. Please note that previous experience of working within a professional services business is desirable, but by no means a prerequisite for candidates wishing to apply. Liaising regularly with partners and colleagues across the business, this role will form a significant function in the company’s accounting department. This is a broad opportunity that would be perfectly suited to an experienced Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper with key responsibilities to include: - Management of general accounting functions; sales and purchase ledger, credit control, monthly management accounts, variance reports and bank reconciliations - Administer online banking transactions with accompanying documentation and record transactions using accounting software - Statutory reporting to include VAT, corporate tax returns and payroll data - Daily reconciliations of accounts - Record accounts payable and receivable transactions - Ad Hoc administrative duties as required What we’re looking for: There is no box ticking exercise with this employer. Personal qualities are equally measured against technical competencies. Yes, they will require an experienced Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper, either part/fully AAT qualified or qualified by vocational experience, and ideally (though not essentially), with a professional services background.
