What you will do:
* Respond to referrals received from MASH and conduct assessments with a timeframe of up to 45 days.
* Identify needs and collaborate with children and families to provide support and implement effective plans.
* Engage with a safeguarding setting, utilising your skills in dealing with section 47 enquiries, Child in Need assessments, planning, and liaising with professionals to support children and families.
* Manage cases involving children on child in need plans, either stepping down or stepping up to ICPC, where they will transfer to a long-term assessment service.
* Demonstrate effective communication and experience working with or knowledge of signs of safety, although not essential.
* Enjoy the ability to work both from home and in the office, with an expectation of spending at least two days a week in the office or a full week when on duty.
* Participate in a rotating duty schedule, where you'll be on duty one week in every four.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
* Degree or equivalent in social work
* Current Social Work England registration
* Significant frontline experience in Social Services within the UK working as a qualified Social Worker
