About the job To work with the Fleet Facilities Manager to ensure that all plant, equipment, and buildings are maintained to the relevant standards. To maintain the necessary records of this process and collate and coordinate the output(s) of the team. To support liaison with various external stakeholders, including Network Rail, to ensure all works arising are progressed to completion. Interface primarily with internal stakeholders including SWR Helpdesk, Depot Plant Maintenance teams and Contractors. Your main responsibilities will be: Support the delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance and Statutory Inspections on all buildings, plant, and equipment across depots. Support delivery of the Reactive Repairs and new Works Arising on all buildings, plant and equipment raised from depot fault reporting, Planned Preventative Maintenance, Statutory Inspections, and audits. Reviewing work package plans, asset specification and installation Monitoring contractors activities on-site, including planning of works with relevant stakeholders, depot inductions, pre-work briefings and meetings, inspecting works, attending hand-back meetings. Support project works arising from Network Rail TOC contribution funding and any ad hoc requests from depots. Maintain the availability of up-to-date work records and certificates, drawings, O&M manuals. Request and process invoices relating to facility related works as required and ensuring evidence is recorded and monitored for repairs/maintenance across all Engineering Depots. Support and liaise with all Depot Managers to ensure any new items of equipment are registered on asset register and work with the contracts team to ensure items are covered by contracts to maintain as necessary. Support QS and Audit processes on all Depot maintenance works, ensure best value for money is achieved. Report on cost savings identified. Support enhancement of Fleet Facilities team service provision with key Support Fleet Facilities Manager with procurement of new contracts for maintenance as required. Support the Fleet Facilities Manager with the preparation of the Facilities components of the depot budgets, reviewing current expenditure to validate cost effectiveness, preparing business cases for change and investment Support development of IS055001 standards across depot You'll need: Good level of IT literacy Knowledge of current legislation for Plant & Equipment Recognised Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services Engineering Qualification Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Must be able to plan and organise Must be enthusiastic and a team player Must be able to work on own initiative and be pro active Applicants who require a visa must have 6 months remaining at the time of their appointment. About the location This role will primarily be based at out Salisbury Traincare Depot, however, you will be required to travel to all depots around the network to meet business needs. Working pattern You will be working an average of 37 hours per week over 5 days per week. Typically, Monday - Friday normal business hours, however the role may involve working or travelling outside of normal business hours.
