About the Role As a French Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in inspiring students' interest in the French language and culture. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles. The successful candidate will be a passionate advocate for language learning, with a strong commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive French lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4 students. Create a stimulating learning environment that promotes active participation and fosters a love for the French language. Employ a variety of teaching methods, including the use of technology, to cater to diverse learning styles. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement. Contribute to the development of the French curriculum and departmental planning. Maintain high expectations for student behavior and cultivate positive relationships with students. Participate in departmental and whole-school activities, collaborating with colleagues to ensure a consistent and effective approach to teaching and learning. We are seeking a candidate with: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in French. A minimum of two years' experience teaching French in a secondary school setting (ideally). A demonstrably strong track record of achievement in raising student attainment in French. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. The ability to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment. A passion for the French language and culture and a desire to inspire students.
