About the role:
Due to continued growth, we now have a new opportunity for a Project Engineer based out of our site in Scunthorpe. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for owning and assisting in all stages of site-based projects throughout their full life cycle from ideation to delivery/handover, ranging from minor capex (<£10k) through to main capital (<£500k).
What to expect in return:
The hours for this role are Monday to Friday 08:00-16:00 (negotiable), with some degree of flexibility required at weekends for projects that require it. We will provide you with all the tools you will require to succeed in this role, alongside access to training and personal development.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
1. Appropriate Engineering/manufacturing qualification at NVQ level 3 or above
2. HNC in engineering discipline
3. Understands processes and equipment within FMCG environments
4. Solid engineering background to provide experience to support the role
5. Ability to use data and objective facts
6. Experience delivering projects or improvements (minimum 2 years experience preferred)
7. Good numerical skills and an eye for finer detail required in project scoping/developing a URS
8. Understanding and application of management of change
9. Good written and verbal communication skills
10. Ability to make decisions and solve problems
11. Ability to engage with a wider team to involve stakeholders in project scope/implementation
DESIRABLES
1. Project management qualification
2. Degree in engineering
3. Extensive IT skills in MS package and other packages such as AutoCAD
4. IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent
5. Contractor control experience and CDM
6. Electrical/automation background/experience
7. Previous experience in a food background
8. Food handling qualification/understanding of HACCP
9. Formal continuous improvement training
10. Contractual agreements/contracts
