Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This position requires a passion for hospitality and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
1. Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, including staff management, inventory control, and customer service.
2. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
3. Train, mentor, and supervise staff in food preparation, service techniques, and cash handling procedures.
4. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and a focus on resolution.
5. Monitor dining room activities to ensure a positive guest experience and high-quality service.
6. Assist in managing the Point of Sale (POS) system for efficient order processing and payment handling.
7. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation.
8. Implement promotional activities to enhance customer engagement and drive sales.
Qualifications
1. Previous experience in restaurant management or a similar role is preferred.
2. Strong knowledge of food preparation, food service practices, and cash handling procedures.
3. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality.
4. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
5. Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage.
6. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
7. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential.
8. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
