Job Description
1. Interact with and motivate the Desk Sales / Telesales team. Operate call coaching, call listening, second voice closing and sales training.
2. Monitor productivity levels of Desk Sales / Telesales team, reporting daily to the National Desk Based Sales Manager any areas for improvement.
3. Provide reports on coaching of staff on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis on metrics defined by Sales Operations.
4. Manage lunch & break rota to maintain cover across core business hours 09:00-17:30 Mon-Fri - liaising with National Desk Based Sales Manager to manage FTE resources, holiday cover and expanding FTE coverage from 09:00 to 20:00 Mon-Fri.
5. Maintain management supervision in the sales office during core business hours 09:00-17:30 Mon-Fri. Presence in the office minimum 3 days per week, office duties / rota to be shared with National Desk Based Sales Manager to maintain supervision during core business hours 09:00-17:30 Mon-Fri.
6. Maintain individual performance files for each Desk Sales / Telesales agent with weekly reports on areas of concern, areas of excellence, additional coaching areas, attitude and standards. These should be reported to the National Desk Based Sales Manager who will collate with individual targets / % to target / Performance metrics.
7. Assist National Desk Based Sales Manager to develop and execute sales booster days on a monthly basis to drive take-up and meet & exceed stated targets.
8. Work alongside the National Desk Based Sales Manager to develop individual coaching and development plans for all sales team members.
9. Develop incentive plans with Head of Sales Operations/Direct Sales to further improve morale and motivation within the Desk Sales / Telesales team.
10. Assist National Desk Based Sales Manager in recruitment of skilled sales personnel to maintain target FTE team size.
11. Enforce and maintain standards within the office, specifically but not limited to dress code, attendance and time keeping, personal phone usage and tidiness and behaviour standards.
12. Assist the National Desk Based Sales Manager in effective distribution, management and conversion of sales leads from inbound enquiries, purchased data and marketing.
13. Deliver sales coaching and mentoring to other sales agents and colleagues as required by the business (Field Sales/Business Sales/Referral Sales/B2B Sales/Venue Sales).
The Successful Applicant
1. Considerable previous experience in sales and a successful track record of managing a sales team.
2. Demonstrable sales acumen and understanding of the sales process.
3. Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
