Job Title: Export Clerk Location: Colnbrook Job Type: Full-Time I am recruiting for my client who are based close to Heathrow Airport and have offices and agents around the world. They consistently meet their customers promises to their customers. They know it is their job is to take away the hassle of moving cargo around the world and to ensure security is their highest priority. They areseeking an organised and detail-oriented Export Clerk to join them. The Export Clerk will be responsible for facilitating the exportation of goods for their clients, ensuring all necessary documentation and compliance requirements are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of export processes, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and process export documentation, including Export Customs Declarations, Bills of lading, AWB’s, Consoles etc. Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and customs authorities to ensure timely and accurate export of goods. Ensure all shipments comply with relevant regulations, including customs and international trade laws. Maintain accurate records of export shipments, ensuring all documentation is filed and pre-alerted appropriately. Communicate with clients, suppliers, regarding shipment status and delivery schedules. Process export orders, verifying shipping details, coordinating with Hauliers and booking freight and arranging for the shipment of goods. Resolve any issues related to shipping, delays, or documentation discrepancies in a timely manner. Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and providing status updates on shipments. Collaborate with other team members to improve efficiency and streamline export processes. Complete quotations for new and existing clients. Complete shipments from start to finish including Invoicing clients Support Imports with Clearances and shipments. Requirements Previous experience in export logistics, freight forwarding, or a similar. Strong knowledge of export documentation, customs procedures, and international shipping regulations. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude. Knowledge of logistics software or Freight Management Systems is a plus.
