About the Service
Our Blantyre Housing Support Service provides a vibrant and supportive environment for both our team and the individuals we support. We are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care tailored to the needs of people with complex needs, including physical disabilities and communication support.
We currently support one individual living independently in her own home and are preparing to welcome another who will share a tenancy. As part of this role, you will provide dedicated 1:1 support, guiding both individuals and the team through this transition to ensure a smooth and positive experience.
Your role will involve empowering the people we support to lead independent, fulfilling lives. By facilitating meaningful activities and using value-based communication, you will ensure care is personalised to their preferences and goals. The individual currently supported enjoys a wide range of activities such as spending time with family and friends, hydrotherapy, storytelling, bowling, cinema trips, dining out, and attending discos and shows. You will support her participation in these activities and help maintain and develop her relationships.
This individual also has her own vehicle, which you will be required to drive as part of her support.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting personal care, household tasks, medication, meal preparation, and financial management.
2. Providing companionship and promoting independence in line with individual Support Plans.
3. Ensuring accurate record-keeping of daily activities and progress.
4. Collaborating with team members, families, and individuals to deliver consistent, effective care.
At Sense Scotland, we believe life is about more than care—it’s about joy, connection, and meaningful experiences. We provide comprehensive training and development opportunities to help you grow within the organisation and succeed in your role.
Join a collaborative and empathetic team dedicated to making a positive difference, where together, we create an environment where everyone can thrive.
