Position: Production Engineer

Our client, an established, globally recognised manufacturing business that specialises in crawler track systems, is looking for a Production Engineer. This is a chance for a top candidate to join a rapidly growing business!
Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will develop and maintain continuous improvement processes throughout the business to drive towards a safer and more efficient workflow. You will work closely with Quality Assurance and Engineering to improve manufacturing outcomes.
Other responsibilities include:
1. Continually review, improve, and streamline design and manufacturing processes to enhance safety, efficiency, and quality.
2. Provide feedback to the Design Engineering team to improve existing or new product assembly processes focusing on safety, risk mitigation, and product quality.
3. Improve, develop, or introduce core business processes as required, including training production team members in areas such as basic hydraulic awareness, tooling use, and assembly build standards.
4. Implement lean principles and integrate continuous improvement into the Production Engineer role.
Experience or Qualifications
1. Degree educated or proven experience in an engineering function (mechanical bias).
2. An understanding of engineering management systems including Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health and Safety.
3. A good understanding of DFMEA, PFMEA, and DFM principles.
4. A strong right-first-time approach with the ability to analyse manufacturing processes and propose specific improvements to enhance overall product quality.
