About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Religious Studies lessons across Key Stages 3-5, including GCSE and A-Level Religious Studies. Develop and implement lesson plans that incorporate a variety of religious and philosophical perspectives, promoting critical thinking and ethical reasoning. Facilitate student-led discussions, debates, and research projects, encouraging respectful dialogue and exploration of diverse beliefs. Assess student progress through written assignments, projects, presentations, and examinations, providing detailed and constructive feedback. Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Religious Studies curriculum, ensuring it aligns with current religious and ethical issues. Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as religious studies clubs, interfaith dialogues, and visits to religious sites, to enhance student learning and promote spiritual development. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong academic background in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related field. Extensive experience teaching Religious Studies to GCSE and A-Level, with a focus on diverse religious traditions and ethical issues. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and reflective skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students. A deep understanding of diverse religious and philosophical perspectives, promoting respect for all beliefs. Commitment to fostering critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and spiritual development in young people.
