Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join one of our public clients on a Locum basis. As a locum technician, you will work alongside a dedicated team of pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to support the safe and effective use of medications, contributing to positive patient outcomes.
What you'll do:
* Dispensing prescriptions accurately and in line with professional standards.
* Preparing and supplying medications to patients in inpatient, outpatient, and clinical areas.
* Assisting with stock control, including managing stock levels, ordering, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
* Offering advice and guidance on medication usage, side effects, and proper storage to patients and healthcare staff.
* Supporting the delivery of clinical pharmacy services, including medication reviews and patient counselling. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication management.
What we're looking for:
* Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Previous experience in a pharmacy setting (hospital experience is desirable but not essential).
* Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing.
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing demands of a locum position.
* Experience in hospital pharmacy services is desirable.
* Knowledge of clinical pharmacy practices and systems is desirable.
