We are delighted to be working with a people focused business, in the professional services sector. They have a fantastic brand and due to continued growth are looking for the right person to lead the Business Development.
THE ROLE:
- Formulating an effective sales strategy, identifying and generating new sales opportunities.
- Developing sales leads, pitching the company's products and services and converting prospects into customers.
- Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients and new partnerships.
- Creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities.
- Building relationships with new clients, identifying their needs and create product and service proposals to address these needs.
- Maintaining and developing relationships with prospective clients.
- Developing a depth of knowledge around our customers and industries.
- Attending conferences and events to build relationships with prospective customers and uncover new leads.
- Utilisation of the CRM system (HubSpot) to manage pipeline, progress opportunities and deliver accurate sales forecasts.
- Possessing a strong understanding of the company's services, the competition in the industry and our methodology and positioning.
- From Identifying to onboarding, collaborating with the digital and client service teams to ensure the end to end process of the customers journey is met.
- The potential to grow the department and manage a business development team in the future.
THE CANDIDATE:
- Sales & Business Development: Proven track record of success in exceeding sales targets, identifying and closing new business opportunities. Strong understanding of sales methodologies.
- Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Communication & Presentation: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to articulate value propositions effectively, both in presentations and written proposals.
- Negotiation & Closing: Proven ability to negotiate contracts and close deals effectively.
- Market Research & Analysis: Ability to conduct market research, analyse data, and identify new market opportunities.
- CRM Proficiency: Experience using CRM systems to manage leads, track progress, and forecast sales.
- Teamwork & Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, client services, digital) to ensure successful client onboarding and project delivery.
- Leadership & Management (Potential): Strong leadership and management skills with the potential to lead a team in the future.

Salary: £40,000 base plus comms
