Job summary Occupational Therapy Band 7 in Mental Health Acute and Urgent Care Services in the North of Birmingham. The focus of the role will be supporting complex caseloads and delivering clinical Occupational Therapy alongside band 5 and band 6 OTs where appropriate and delivering Occupational Therapy within Urgent Care services. To work closely with multi professional colleagues particularly nursing colleagues to develop and embed a collaborative clinical model; in particular to enhance opportunities for the delivery of occupational therapy with a focus on achieving to support transitional care, recovery and effective discharge planning and improving physical health. Main duties of the job Essential criteria include a keen interest, clinical experience, leadership, advanced communications skills and a flexible approach is prerequisite. You will need to have a vision to implement service improvement initiatives, to drive the services forward as part of the acute and Urgent Care Team. You will possess the ability to work autonomously, multitask and be self-organised, promoting further development and influence high quality clinical practice. You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high standards of safe patient care in line with National guidance.
