Salary: Up to £36k per year (depending on skills and experience)
Hours: Usually 7.30 – 6pm (with 1 hour lunch), with some flexibility
Location: Based in Cuxton, Rochester, and working on customer sites across the southeast
We’re a small but fast-growing company with high ambitions and an honest, open, and supportive culture. We’re on a mission to transform outdoor spaces with a focus on re-wilding and sustainable principles, as well as creating and maintaining more traditional garden designs.
What we’re looking for
A highly skilled and experienced landscaper who’s passionate about sustainability and can:
1. Lead, mentor, and develop a small landscaping team, working on projects across the southeast, carrying out a wide variety of landscaping tasks including hardscaping, softscaping, paving, decking, and fencing installations, and assisting with site preparation, excavating, and grading when required.
2. Work collaboratively with the design team to bring garden designs to life, working to detailed drawings and delivering projects to the highest standards and client specifications.
3. Work to all company standards around professional presentation and health and safety requirements, including cleaning, maintaining, and safely operating a range of landscaping equipment, and keeping sites and vehicles clean, tidy, and safe.
4. Follow sustainable landscaping practices, including the use of eco-friendly materials, native plantings, and water-efficient irrigation systems.
What you’ll need
1. Extensive experience in landscaping or a related construction field, and the ability to lead projects from start to finish while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
2. Passion and willingness to share your knowledge and experience with less experienced team members, and the ability to inspire and encourage them to develop and succeed in the landscaping field.
3. Ability to perform all manual tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy loads and the safe operation of power tools and hand tools.
4. A positive, can-do attitude, with a strong work ethic, great attention to detail, and willingness to work outdoors in all weathers.
5. Excellent customer service and general communication skills.
6. A great team player, willing to go the extra mile to get the job done and to support colleagues.
7. Good understanding of, and interest in, sustainability and eco-friendly landscaping practices.
8. Some understanding of plant care and maintenance techniques.
9. A full UK driver’s licence and the ability to drive small commercial vehicles, preferably with a trailer.
10. We'd love it if you already had a CSCS card but it's not essential.
Not sure if you tick all the boxes? Don't worry - we value passion and potential. If you don’t fully meet all the requirements but think you'd still be a great asset to our company, we'd love to hear from you!
