Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Commercial Manager to lead our team and drive business growth. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping our commercial strategy, building lasting relationships, and ensuring operational excellence.
Key Accountabilities
1. Identify and develop new business opportunities, implementing strategic sales plans to drive sustainable growth and profitability.
2. Sell our full range of goods and services.
3. Lead, mentor, and manage a dedicated team, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism.
4. Build and nurture long-term, meaningful relationships with members, customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
5. Conduct regular member visits, gathering valuable feedback, and represent the organisation at agricultural and industry events.
6. Deliver comprehensive financial and performance reports to the board of directors, offering insights and strategic recommendations.
7. Ensure full compliance with all regulatory standards, including HSE, finance, and GDPR, while adopting industry best practices.
8. Collaborate with the board of directors to design and implement business strategies that align with the organisation's long-term goals.
Requirements
1. Minimum Higher National Diploma/HNC qualification in Business, Agriculture, or the equivalent experience.
2. Experience in sales and sales management, preferably in the agricultural sector.
3. Evidence of strong leadership and team management skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Proven ability to develop and execute personally successful sales campaigns.
6. Proven record of working with a high level of integrity and commitment to ethical business practices.
7. Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
