Company Description
Our award-winning Cargo division is the largest in the world, transporting everything from car parts on a Cessna to a boat on an Antonov 124! To complement our Cargo division, we also have a Time Critical Services business who manage the Cargo Broker clients On Board Courier (OBC) and Next Flight Out (NFO) needs.
To help expedite the growth of our Time Critical Division, we have created this new CEO role which will report into the Mountfitchet Group Board. The purpose of this role is to identify sales growth opportunities with our existing client base and new business lines we are not currently exploiting.
This role will inherit two strong teams in Frankfurt and Houston, and with the management team will be responsible for growing the division to be one that on size competes against our Cargo team, all whilst delivering service beyond expectation to the end user.
Job Description
* Drive sales growth with existing and new client base outside of freight forwarders
* Cross sell services within existing clients
* Consistently communicate the service proposition and services internally and externally to ACS
* Be personally responsible for key strategic client relationships
* Implement and measure performance standards across the division
* Working with sales and operations, optimize service delivery models globally and identify and develop new service offerings
* Create healthy competition across the division and within the Cargo team
* Use management information to identify opportunities for sales and work capacity trends
* Lead on new office openings, application of licenses, etc.
* Work with finance on the annual budget and work with the management team to ensure delivery
* Represent the division at relevant Board Meetings
* Ability to drive performance and pro-actively manage conduct and capability
Qualifications
* Worked in a sales capacity in a logistics company, ideally freight forwarder
* Strong understanding of air freight
* Experience of ground expedite would be an advantage
* Team leadership experience essential, including driving a high-performance sales and delivery team
* Experience of creating and delivering performance against budget
* Strong commercial acumen
