An exciting opportunity has arisen at Cardiff and Vale College for an Inclusion Support Officer to be based at our City Centre Campus on Dumballs Road. To assist the Inclusive Learning Team with day-to-day clerical support and the administrative tasks associated with the organisation of access arrangements and reasonable adjustments for exams (AARA), transition and the Inclusion Panel.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. To work alongside the Specialist Teacher of Inclusion to ensure that the JCQ Access Arrangements and Reasonable Adjustments guidelines, and other awarding body guidelines are followed.
2. To ensure learner files are accurate, up to date, and stored in compliance with CAVC policies, awarding body regulations and GDPR.
3. To organise and schedule Inclusion Panel meetings, take meeting minutes and ensure actions are completed within statutory timeframes.
4. To maintain records of management information systems, e.g. EBS Ontrack, Learner Progress Hub, ALN Database, etc.
5. To liaise with learners, parents/carers, schools/education establishments, external agencies and college staff to gather information relating to learner support needs.
6. To provide general clerical/administrative support for the Inclusive Learning Team, e.g. photocopying, filing, completing standard forms, taking minutes and responding to routine correspondence.
7. Monitor the supply of resources and assist in purchasing them when necessary.
You will be able to demonstrate experience of working in an administrative role and experience of using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Forms and SharePoint. You will be an excellent communicator, have great organisational skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Whilst the ability to speak Welsh is not essential for the role, we would love to hear from candidates who are fluent and can engage with learners through the medium of Welsh.
