Production & Operations Manager – Yate/Bristol
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: Competitive, up to £50k PA, plus performance bonuses (DOE)
Hours: 40hrs/week (Mon–Thu 07:45–16:30, Fri 07:45–15:00)
Your Role
* Lead the daily operations of a dynamic production site, overseeing the entire manufacturing process for custom-made office chairs and components.
* Ensure quality, safety, and operational standards are upheld from raw materials to final product delivery.
* Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization, driving a culture of continuous improvement through LEAN manufacturing principles.
* Compile and analyze production reports, monitor KPIs, and present insights to senior management regularly.
* Collaborate closely with product design teams to develop, prototype, and launch innovative products that set industry standards.
* Foster innovation and drive positive change within a fast-paced, market-leading company committed to manufacturing excellence.
* Solve complex challenges with a proactive mindset, while embracing opportunities for personal and professional growth. This role offers the potential to advance to a director-level position, making ambition and drive key attributes for success.
Your Background
* A qualification in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory. Experience, aptitude, and ambition are prioritized.
* Demonstrated experience in a management role within a manufacturing or production environment is essential.
* Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and quality control standards, particularly in a production context.
* Experience working with creative and technical teams to design and launch new products is an advantage, though not required.
* Proficiency in MRP and ERP software systems, with practical knowledge of their application in a live manufacturing setting.
