Job Description
MPI has a requirement for an Electrical Technical Support person to work in a full-time role in Tewkesbury.
Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of industrial plugs, sockets, and combination units to EN60309-2, along with associated power distribution products.
Hours per week: 8:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday.
This is a multi-tasking role with excellent prospects. Reporting to the Managing Director and Projects Manager, you will provide frontline technical support to the internal and external sales teams by direct communication with our client base and assisting with technical enquiries related to all our products and bespoke solutions.
Main duties and skills required:
1. Excellent communication skills via phone and email.
2. Good customer service skills and well-organized.
3. Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Office.
4. Good technical and practical skills.
5. Understanding of basic CAD and schematics.
6. Ability to produce CAD drawings using E Plus Electro Graphics (full training provided).
7. An electrical background is desirable.
8. Ability to work well within a team and independently.
9. Provide technical support relevant to the internal and external sales teams.
10. Handle technical enquiries from clients.
11. Assist in preparing quotations, bills of materials, and final pricing with the assembly department.
12. Promote and advise on compatible products, services, and bespoke solutions.
13. Liaise with the Sales Office Manager, Projects Manager, External Sales Team, and other departments.
Full product and technical training will be provided at our training centre in Italy and on an ongoing basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in the electrical wholesale industry and demonstrate a good technical aptitude with a willingness to learn.
