Gi Group are currently searching for a Production Manager to join our well established client in Almondsbury, BS32.
Job Title: Production Manager
Location: Almondsbury, Bristol
Salary: (phone number removed) per annum
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours of Work:
- For Initial Training Period 8-10 weeks: 6am-2.30pm Monday-Thursday, 6am-2pm Friday
- Switching to: 5on/5off (6am to 6pm) days only - no nights - two weekends off per month
Key Responsibilities:
1. The development and promotion through effective communication of Company, Factory and team plans and their focused implementation to achieve defined objectives.
2. People Management, motivation and structured development of the team through performance review to ensure delivery of objectives through Team working.
3. Rigorous application of the company Manufacturing system to deliver Continuous Improvement across all areas of Manufacturing.
4. Implementation of and adherence to all Company and Factory control procedures to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements in Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality.
5. The collection, assimilation and analysis of production and process data and its effective use to develop and achieve key targets and objectives.
6. The development of systems and standards to deliver world-class standards of housekeeping using the 5S principles.
7. Procurement of production materials, goods and services within defined areas of the production environment.
8. Effective interdepartmental liaison to achieve defined objectives.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
1. A Proven track record in a continuous manufacturing environment at the level advertised or above.
2. A high degree of self-motivation.
3. The ability to self-manage and adjust to changing business needs.
4. The ability to understand, accept and achieve targets and deadlines.
5. Demonstrable organisational skills including efficient planning and implementation of systems and procedures.
6. Leadership and people management skills and the ability to build, motivate, develop and improve the team.
7. Demonstrable ability to implement structured problem solving techniques.
8. Ability to work collaboratively and to communicate effectively across all departments and levels of the business.
