This post is a fixed-term contract for 2 years. Secondments will also be considered, allowing part-time study for completion of the course.
This is an opportunity to undertake the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing course in School Nursing full-time over an academic year. This post is fully funded by HEIW, with academic study provided by Glyndwr University and practical placements provided by BCUHB Central area, Conwy, and Denbighshire. On successful completion of the course, you will be able to register on part 3 of the NMC register.

Main duties of the job
You will be supernumerary for the duration of the course and allocated a qualified School Nurse practice supervisor and practice assessor. You will learn all aspects of the School Nurse role whilst undertaking your practical experience within a School Nursing team in Central BCU. You will build up your experience and confidence in practice whilst learning the theoretical aspects of the public health course.
