The role
As a Service Development Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. By preparing and developing proposals for new services in support of the Skynet Service Delivery Wrap contract, ensuring that we can respond to the customers evolving needs.
Day-to-day, you’ll manage responses to customer service requests including the development and coordination of inputs to the service proposals to ensure timely submission of proposals, as well as:
1. Establish and lead multi-functional teams to achieve objectives within set timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
2. Facilitate meetings, supporting the presentation of proposals at internal gate meetings in line with the governance process.
3. The Identification of business opportunities.
4. Leading Babcock response to customer requirements for incremental business.
5. The Identification and implementation of continuous improvement to the way the department operates.
This role is full time and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2-3 days in the office/onsite and 2-3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Service Development Manager
6. Understanding and/or experience of ITIL V3 or v4.
7. Bid Management: Association of Proposal and Bid Management Professionals (APMP) and Shipley bid management techniques.
8. Understanding of commercial and/or satellite communications is required for this role.
Qualifications for the Service Development Manager
9. Project Management qualifications and experience in one of the following or similar: Association for Project Management (APM) Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ), Project Management Institute (PMI) Certified associate in project management (CAPM).
