Engagement Coordinator – Cheshire East: Inspiring Futures
Location: Crewe & Macclesfield- Office-based (full-time) with community outreach
Driving license and own vehicle are essential for this role.
About the Programme
Inspiring Futures – Cheshire East is a voluntary programme supporting individuals aged 16+ who are economically inactive, including those with disabilities or health conditions.
This programme follows the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model.
Our goal? To help people move into meaningful paid or voluntary employment through tailored, specialist Supported Employment.
The Role
As Engagement Coordinator, you’ll be the friendly face of the programme—building and growing relationships across the region to promote Inspiring Futures and open up referral pathways.
You will connect with local partners like Youth Fed, Salvation Army, Disability Information Bureau, housing providers (e.g., Plus Dane, Great Places), and community organisations like food banks and adult social care teams. Your work helps ensure participants have a seamless, supportive journey into the programme via trusted ‘warm introductions’.
You’ll be based in either the Crewe or Macclesfield offices, with regular travel between the two as well as community outreach (travel expenses covered beyond base offices).
What You’ll Be Doing
* Rolling out our engagement strategy across Cheshire East, building strong referral pipelines
* Achieving a target of customer starts on programme
* Working with internal teams and external partners to drive programme performance
* Delivering presentations, workshops, and engagement events—virtually and in-person
* Collaborating with local stakeholders (Local Authorities, GPs, Mental Health Teams, Chambers of Commerce, etc.)
* Coordinating and attending engagement meetings to ensure wraparound support
* Supporting operations by targeting outreach where it’s needed most
* Assessing customers' suitability for the programme
What We’re Looking For
Someone outgoing, confident, and self-motivated—someone who thrives in a target-driven environment, builds relationships with ease, and brings positive energy to every interaction.
* Passion for our values: Kindness, Respect, Integrity, Innovation
* Experience engaging participants and building trust
* Full driving licence & access to a car
* Strong negotiating and influencing skills to sign up customers to the programme
* Confident presenter and relationship builder
* Results-focused with a customer-first mindset
* Resilient, adaptable, and great at managing your time
* Comfortable with Microsoft Office
* Background working with referral partners and community networks
* Knowledge of Supported Employment (SE) or IPS models
* Familiarity with the employability sector
