We are seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator to join our team working at our client site in Swindon. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint, sealants, and other finishes to both interior and exterior spaces. This role requires a high standard of workmanship, ensuring all work meets our clients expectations for quality and precision.
You will collaborate closely with clients, and other team members to transform spaces with precision and creativity.
The ideal applicant will have a recognized qualification in Painting & Decorating (e.g NVQ level 2) although this is not essential and will also ideally have experience or certification in IOSH working safely or a solid understanding of health and safety.
Requirements:
Minimum of two years experience in a similar role.
A keen eye for color and a strong understanding of the trade, including different painting techniques, finishes, and materials.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues both verbally and written.
Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks as required.
Commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship in all aspects of your work.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required to meet deadlines (paid overtime).
Willing to participate in training and development opportunity.
This is a full time permanent position working 40 hours per week with flexible shift times (Shift hours and overtime to be discussed during the interview process)
We are offeringa salary of between £34,000 and £37,000 per annum with 33 days holiday a year which includes bank holidays.

? Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and prime surfaces for painting, including sanding, cleaning, and filling.
Apply a range of finishes, including paints, varnishes, and sealants, to both interior and exterior surfaces.
Ensure all work meets high-quality standards, is on schedule, and aligns with client specifications.
Work independently as well as collaborate effectively with clients and other team members to transform spaces.
Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
Work with clients to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues that arise.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Carry out manual handling tasks, including lifting and transporting materials and tools (up to 20kg).
Ensure your workspace is kept clean and organized at all times.
