Stages of our Graduate Programme
* Onboarding - You will become part of our graduate community, and we will show you the systems of Soiltechnics.
* Training - We will provide you with professional and technical training from learning how to log soils to writing detailed technical reports.
* Continuous Development - With support, you will enhance your office and field-based skills and be exposed to a variety of projects from conception to delivery.
* Graduation - You will have the confidence and skills to manage your own projects and will gain the job title of Geoenvironmental Engineer.

Week 1
INTRODUCTION TO THE COMPANY - This week we will introduce you to our company. You’ll get to find out where we work, who the team is, who your line manager will be and how our systems work.
Week 2-4
SETTLE IN PERIOD - We want to make sure that you settle in well, so during weeks 2 – 4 we’ll be showing you how things are done and ensure that you cover core training including site safety.
Months 2-3
ESSENTIAL TRAINING FOR SITE - Get to grips with buried service avoidance and staying safe on site. You’ll have an introduction to soil logging to British Standards, soil and groundwater sampling and gas monitoring.
Months 4-12
SITE WORK - You will gain exposure to a variety of sites and investigation techniques. You’ll also learn how to use ground investigation and laboratory test results to produce technical soil parameters and inform geotechnical calculations. By the end of the 12 months, you’ll be beaming with knowledge and experience!
Months 12-24
HONE YOUR SKILLS - Over the final 12 months, you will have the opportunity to refine your skills, putting them into practice at sites of different complexity. We will support you to develop technical skills and by the end of the 2 years you will have the ability to formulate basic quotations, write desk study reports and organise detailed ground investigation.
Application Process
Applications (send in CV and cover letter) by 2nd May. Successful applicants will be asked to a 1st stage teams interview to be conducted by end of May. Successful interviewees will be asked to complete a Case study and attend a face-to-face interview. These will run throughout June. Decisions beginning of July for start date in September.

Salary - £24,500, plus OT, paid travel and expenses, private health insurance, pension contributions, full-time contract from day 1, mentoring programme, annual salary review, 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
