We are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager for a company based in Birmingham, B6.
The Finance Manager role is an office based role, Monday-Friday,40h/week.
Main duties for the Finance Manager role include:
* Responsibility & day to day overseeing a finance team of 5, including training & development.
* Production of monthly management accounts and analysis of variances.
* Responsibility for the monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
* Maintenance of the fixed asset register.
* Ensuring the accurate and timely processing & payment of AP ledger transactions.
* Overseeing the posting of cash sale transactions and daily cash reconciliations.
* Overseeing the credit control function
* Processing & review of all month end journals.
* Manage the year end audit process.
* Reconciling VAT & Duty and ensuring payments made to timetable.
* Support the Senior FC with the budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Develop relationships with key financial and non-financial stakeholders such operational staff.
* Drive continuous improvement across accounting controls and processes.
* Drive the cost reduction project across the whole business.
Essential Requirements for the Finance Manager role:
* Strong team building and people management skills
* Strong excel skills including Pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs.
* A proactive approach.
* Comfortable discussing financial principles with non-financial staff.
* The ability to challenge opinions and interrogate company data.
* Experience in analysing large amounts of data and making recommendations following the analysis.
* Demonstrable expertise in improving processes and implementing new ways of working.
Desirable Requirements
* FMCG experience
* Part or Qualified – CIMA or ACCA, with at least 2-5 years’ experience
* Entrepreneurial spirit
* Attention to detail
* Business Partnering Experience
* Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics would be beneficial
