In this role, you will have a positive attitude, be helpful and enterprising, by
1. Collaborating with your manager and team to build further customer and industry intelligence
2. Using social media channels to identify business opportunities
3. Developing new innovative ideas for identifying potential customers
4. Work with existing customer to establish and identify new and improved solutions
5. Contribute and share process improvements
The Apprentice Role
As a Sales Development Apprentice, 20% of your time will be spent studying towards your apprenticeship and 80% of your time will be spent applying those learnings on-the-job supporting the sales & marketing organisation.
During this experience, you'll be part of a wide marketing community; spanning across Europe, and across a variety of business teams. You'll also have access to a broader group of people that will support you throughout to develop both personally & professionally.
As an apprentice, year one will be primarily focused on understanding the company and gaining the skills needed to do the job. Then you'll progressively transition into the Business Development Associate role while continuing with your sales apprenticeship.
These are some of the first-year activities you'll be part of:
6. Learning your customer portfolio and be comfortable discussing it
7. Get a 360 degree view of how large matrixed organisations run
8. Support fellow Business Developers by creating investigative reports
9. Conduct research into new business opportunities
10. Gain industry knowledge to develop a point of view for customers
11. Learn & develop skills that help you build and maintain customer relationships
In addition to the above, the apprentice will be given the opportunity to develop their experience and directly contribute to the Marketing function. These activities include:
12. Undertake customer and competitor analysis
13. Support with new product launches and trials
14. Support to develop social media content in line with current objectives
15. Support with development of Marketing content and literature, both paper based and digital
16. Organise customer events and exhibitions
17. Monthly Marketing Budget review against the plan
18. Collaborate with the sales and clinical team to support with customer expectations
19. Support the Marketing lead with portfolio life cycle management – phasing in innovation and phasing out old products
20. Preparation and support with both internal sales and external customer meetings
21. Time in the field visiting customers to understand competitors and solutions needed for the market

Eligibility
41. Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom and been a resident in the UK/EU for at least 3 years
42. GCSEs or equivalent with Math’s and English at grade 5 and above (A-C/4-9)
43. Driving Licence with no more than 6 points
44. Willing to travel with some overnight stays
