Our People What you’ll be responsible for Driving Collecting vehicles from base/site and driving them to the allocated location, following all necessary driving regulations. Ensuring vehicles are driven in accordance with the law, carefully and all contents of the vehicle remain in tact and undamaged. Completing drivers walkaround checks to make sure the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before driving. Rigging When on site, the Rigging team is responsible for the correct parking and levelling of vehicles in the compound. Primarily your role will comprise of the laying of all cables on site to a high standard, adhering to any specific venue requirements whilst complying with all health and safety rules.This will ensure the successful production of the event. After the event your role will be to derig the cables, storing them securely ready for transit on a vehicle. This is a highly demanding but rewarding role, acting as an integral part of a team enabling EMG’s ability to live stream various sport and other high-profile events. The role can require long periods on the site and away from home (with appropriate rest time) and sometimes leads to long periods abroad, so a passport and ability to travel is essential. Hours worked often cover evenings and weekends so you will need to be open to working unsociable hours. Often you are the first face that the client will see on site, so a polite and positive attitude is necessary. This role is for you if: You have a polite and respectful manner Act professionally at all times, even in situations of pressure You have a current Cat C or CE Licence You hold a valid DQC and Driver Card Enjoy driving in the UK and Europe Enjoy working as part of small team delivering exceptional service Must be able to follow construction sites H&S code of practice Full and clean driving license Must have the correct PPE - HI Vis and Safety Boots (can be provided) Ability to complete record sheets and paperwork accurately Good customer service Excellent understanding of driver's hours regulations Excellent understanding of safety on the road and when loading and unloading
