Pay: £40,322 - £48,532 per annum

About the role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Class Teacher to join a thriving primary school in Enfield for a 1-year maternity cover starting in February 2025. You will be leading a well-settled class of 30 children with no challenging behaviour but with some lower-ability pupils who require tailored support.
As the Year 2 teacher, you’ll benefit from full-time classroom support with a TA, effective schemes of work (Read Write Inc Phonics, White Rose Maths, and all foundation subjects), and PPA time that can be completed from home. While planning and differentiation are required, all schemes are established, ensuring you have a strong foundation to build upon. The school offers competitive pay to scale with full class responsibilities.

Application Requirements:
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Have experience or a strong understanding of teaching phonics (Read Write Inc preferred).
• Be comfortable teaching White Rose Maths and differentiating lessons to meet varied abilities.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and a commitment to supporting all learners.
• Be enthusiastic, organised, and a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
• Implement Read Write Inc Phonics and White Rose Maths schemes effectively.
• Provide tailored support for lower-ability children to ensure their progress and success.
• Work closely with the full-time TA to support pupils’ academic and social development.
• Monitor, record, and report on children’s progress in line with school policies.
