Contents Location About the job Benefits Things you need to know Apply and further information Location Swindon About the job Job summary UKRI is in the final stages of re-platforming its transactional backbone Databank, CRM, Oracle Fusion ERP platform and the replacement of its front and middle office grants application capabilities, this role will lead a newly formed directorate responsible for owning these platforms in BAU, driving their roadmaps in collaboration with the business, and leading related projects as SRO. The overall support model, supplier management, and platform performance will also fall within your remit, ensuring these critical systems deliver maximum value to UKRI. You will play a pivotal leadership role as the Senior Responsible Owner (SRO) for enterprise IT platform initiatives, focusing on both business-as-usual (BAU) management and driving strategic roadmap development for these platforms with the service owners, CDO and business leaders. Your leadership will be crucial in managing the continuous and service delivery elements of enterprise platforms, guiding their integration, evolution, and optimisation. You will ensure that key initiatives are strategically aligned with business objectives, providing oversight and driving their successful execution. Job description Strategic Roadmap Development: Work closely with senior stakeholders to shape and prioritise roadmaps for the Oracle Fusion ERP and grants application platforms. Ensure alignment between IT and business goals, allocating resources to both BAU and strategic initiatives Leadership and Oversight: Lead and manage the enterprise IT platform domains, including Oracle Fusion ERP and grants management platforms. Provide strategic guidance and operational oversight to IT delivery management teams Enterprise IT Structure and Optimisation: Design and optimise IT delivery teams to support enterprise platform initiatives. Lead IT governance at strategic boards, ensuring delivery aligns with business needs and technical requirements Governance and Standards Leadership: Collaborate with enterprise architecture to develop and iterate governance, standards, and practices for enterprise platform delivery. Ensure adherence to industry best practices and regulatory requirements Resource and Spend Management: Manage programme funding, resources, and supplier relationships for enterprise platforms. Optimise procurement and resource allocation to enhance platform performance and business outcomes Supplier and Support Model Management: Oversee the support model and supplier relationships for Oracle Fusion ERP and other enterprise platforms. Align supplier management with service performance goals Integration Leadership : Drive integration-by-design principles across enterprise platforms, ensuring seamless interoperability. Promote user-centred design (UCD), AI, and ethical design principles Service Readiness and Quality Assurance: Own fitness for service and readiness assessments for all enterprise platforms. Ensure projects meet quality standards and are ready for deployment Domain Leadership: Lead the enterprise platforms with a focus on Oracle Fusion ERP and grants management platforms, guiding their evolution and long-term sustainability Security and Resilience: Lead the management of enterprise platforms security risks and business continuity, ensuring the implementation of secure-by-design principles in the delivery and ongoing operations of Oracle Fusion and related systems Person specification Candidates will be assessed against the following: Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred Proven Senior IT Leadership Experience: Particularly with large-scale platforms like Oracle Fusion ERP. Ability to lead and inspire diverse teams, manage complex projects, and drive innovation Excellent Stakeholder Management and Communication Skills: Ability to influence at senior levels, drive change, and articulate vision, strategy, and progress to diverse audiences Resource and Supplier Management: Proven ability to manage programme funding, resources, and supplier relationships for enterprise platforms. Drive platform performance within complex IT environments Strategy Development: Expertise in developing and executing strategic roadmaps for enterprise IT platforms. Align IT initiatives with business goals, ensuring resources are effectively allocated to both BAU and strategic projects Governance: Knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
