About the role: Senior Interior Designer Transition into Creative Director We are an award-winning, creative design studio specialising in unique commercial, hospitality (F&B/hotels), and residential projects. Our work spans all aspects of design, from building exteriors and terraces to interior finishes, FF&E, bespoke lighting, joinery, and original art. With a dedicated graphic design team, we ensure seamless integration of branding, visual identity, and in-venue graphics for many hospitality projects. We are looking for a talented Senior Interior Designer/Team Lead to join our London studio. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a multi-disciplinary team, working on exciting UK and international projects alongside the creative directors, managing design, client relations, and project delivery. Key Responsibilities Act as lead designer on commercial, hospitality and residential interiors projects across the studio, organising, driving and overseeing the design team (working into the creative director) from concept to completion and photography. Develop and present innovative design concepts that meet client needs and budgets. Manage project timelines, deadlines, and deliverables in collaboration with the interior design project manager. Direct and review design work, including technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation. Attend and lead client meetings, site visits, and internal studio meetings. Handle project budgeting, FF&E procurement, and negotiations with suppliers. Assist with pitching, fee proposals, and contract negotiations. Train and mentor junior designers, fostering creativity and leadership within the team. Track project profitability and contribute to business development strategies. Requirements: A strong portfolio showcasing hospitality and residential design projects. Minimum five years of experience leading large-scale commercial and residential projects (8-10 years is ideal). Senior-level client-facing experience with the ability to manage multiple projects. Expertise in project setup, processes, budgets, and contractual agreements. Strong technical skills, including construction and onsite knowledge. Experience with FF&E sourcing, procurement, and supplier negotiations. Proficiency in Vectorworks (or willingness to transition from AutoCAD). Familiarity with InDesign, Photoshop, SketchUp (a bonus). Ability to manage deadlines, budgets, and team workflow effectively. Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
