Responsibilities Translating of legal and regulatory requirements, and setting of, NWS nuclear & radiological safety standards and policies. Ownership and compliance with radiological safety arrangements. Provision of radiological protection support, and oversight of operational work e.g., site-based projects, assurance of contractors. Input to developing safety cases and regulatory submissions and their current application. Input to supply chain assurance on Radiological Protection matters. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Essential Significant understanding of the regulatory expectations with respect to radiological protection arrangements. Knowledge of Nuclear Site Licence arrangements. Radiation Protection Adviser with a valid RPA Certificate of Competence issued by an Assessing Body (or be close to achieving this).
