As part of our growth, we wish to recruit a Logistics Systems Consultant to deliver and design solutions that help our clients optimise their logistics operations in an age when logistics is an increasingly important market. As part of our team, this wide-ranging role will require you to deliver innovative and pragmatic solutions using our state-of-the-art software solutions, data and technology. We work across all levels within an organisation from senior stakeholders to planners and analysts, and your contribution to their business can realise substantial savings. As well as your problem-solving skills, we would expect you to use our logistics and analytical tools to deliver solutions that optimise routes and networks. Responsibilities include: Developing and maintaining expertise in CACI’s Logistics software solutions, including Pin Routes, Pin Supply Chain and Truckstops Implementing and configuring our logistics solutions according to customer requirements and specifications – this can be both on site and remote. Providing training to customers and ensuring successful adoption of software products Serving as a primary point of contact for customer technical enquiries, providing detailed and accurate support. Ensuring that the project team is aware of key deliverables and project milestones Identifying areas of improvement within functionality and working with the Product Owner to enhance CACI’s Logistics software solutions Working closely with the Commercial team to manage client relationships Learning through formal training courses and on the job experience Working with CACI’s software solutions on multifaceted projects and be able to present complex results to a non-technical audience Undertaking work on behalf of our clients involving the analysis and manipulation of data Working with clients to implement software solutions and help build capacity within their teams Devising innovative ways to configure solutions to meet clients’ objectives Building and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and clients Contributing to innovation through team and company-wide ‘labs’ and regular team creative thinking sessions Who you are We are looking for a candidate to join our Logistics technical team – working with companies from a broad range of sectors (e.g. growers, 3PLs, grocery, telematics), within the UK, across Europe and internationally. The ideal candidate will have an analytical background and experience working with data. You will have a passion for data and analysis and a proven ability to deliver creative and innovative solutions. In addition, there will be a high degree of client contact, so you should have excellent communication and presentation skills. Ideally you will: Be educated to at least degree level in a relevant subject, e.g. Computer Science, Logistics, Supply Chain, GIS, Geography, Mathematics or similar Have one or more years of experience in software implementation, technical consultancy or similar roles Be a strong communicator with the ability to simplify concepts into transparent and pragmatic solutions for a non-technical audience Have experience using Python and batch script (automation) Dashboard design and creation using Power BI, Tableau or similar tools. Be client focused with an eye on delivering value at every touchpoint Have a proven capability to deliver analytical solutions either in a consultancy environment or through a logistics/supply chain function Be self-motivated and driven to deliver exceptional solutions Have a curiosity and passion for maps, GIS, logistics, data, technology, and innovation Have good people skills and be able to foster positive relations with both internal and external stakeholders Well organised and able to manage own workload Be adept at learning new concepts and techniques and are comfortable working to deadlines Have the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously Other details Job Family Numerical Grades Pay Type Salary
