Description
We are working with a FMCG Manufacturer who are looking for a Project Manager on a 9 Month FTC (Potential to become perm) to join their team based in Leyland.
Responsibilities/The Candidate
1. Responsible for the health & safety, legality and quality of all buildings, services, products and processes within the remit of the role.
2. To undertake risk assessments for buildings, equipment, and processes prior to installation.
3. Seeking to maximise facility safety, quality and functionality whilst reducing cost, continually challenging to ensure projects are delivered at best value.
4. Providing professional and technical construction input and cost evaluation to all construction related projects.
5. Project managing internal and external teams delivering new processes, plant and manufacturing equipment, extensions and modifications to the site to agreed budget and timescales.
6. Responsible for the sign off and handover of project to production, hygiene, QA, NPD and engineering complete with all training and documentation.
7. In conjunction with the Senior Project Manager, ensuring all key stakeholders are kept informed regarding projects status, specification and any changes, Time and Budget.
8. Responsible for the management and control of multiple capital projects from conception through to commissioning, including the supervision, management and coordination of subcontractors on site.
9. Responsible for the contractual aspect of the work, ensuring the contractors fulfil their contractual obligations in a timely manner and within the approved budget.
10. Management of the relevant project function and the production of a monthly report in conjunction with the other project managers.
11. Responsible for promoting the project and keeping it alive with the team and all involved.
12. Motivation of internal and external project team to ensure installation and completion of project.
13. Circulating management information through briefings with the team. To progress matters of concern with the Head of Engineering / Production / Chief Maintenance Engineer.
14. Responsible for all liaising with the Maintenance Engineering management to ensure all preventive tasks, spares and SOP's are in place for relevant equipment.
15. Identification and Management of continuous improvement programmes to support the department and Operations KPI's.
Qualifications/Education
1. 5 years+ experience in a Project Manager role, working on different projects.
2. Background/Experience working within a FMCG Manufacture.
3. Experience working with CAD.
Hours & Salary
Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm (Flexitime Available)
£55,000 Per Annum
