We are looking for a highly skilled NMC Registered Quality Lead Nurse to join our Acute Care at Home Services based in Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent for a fixed term 12 month secondment.
If you’re passionate about making a positive impact, have a background in quality improvement and clinical governance, and enjoy working across systems to bring about real change, we encourage you to apply. Join us in shaping the future of care for our communities.
You will support the development and participate in the Quality Agenda, innovation and evidence based nursing practice through professional leadership and supporting the clinical team in close liaison with the Acute Care at Home Lead ACP, and Virtual Ward Matron.
You will play a critical role in ensuring that quality planning, assurance, and improvement processes are robust and lead to meaningful, sustainable change. You will be working on key priorities identified for Staffordshire Acute Care at Home, collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in patient safety, outcomes, and experience.
As Quality Lead Nurse you will be expected to:
1. Exchange verbal and written information with patients, staff and carers requiring tact and diplomacy. Ensure that all barriers to understanding are overcome by using differing strategies to meet individual need.
2. Provide and receive complex, sensitive information that then is communicated to patients/carers and staff. This involves ensuring that the information is delivered in a way and format that people understand and any barriers are overcome.
3. Demonstrate empathy, equality, persuasion and reassurance.
4. Demonstrate through a high degree of experience and maturity a level of clinical expertise and leadership qualities.
5. Facilitate communication, which results in clear responsibilities being identified within the multi-professional team.
6. Lead on establishing appropriate systems for the Acute Care at Home Service to demonstrate the quality of practice, ensuring that patient voice, complaints, and enquiries are managed within appropriate codes of conduct.
By joining Team MPFT, you will be helping your communities and in return for this, we will support you by:
1. Supporting your career development and progression.
2. Excellent NHS Pension scheme.
3. Generous maternity, paternity and adoption leave.
4. Options for flexible working.
5. Up to 27 days annual leave (increasing with service up to 33 days) and the opportunity to purchase additional leave.
6. Extensive Health and Wellbeing support and resources.
7. If you work in our community teams, we pay for your time travelling between patients.
8. Lease car if you complete more than 500 business miles per annum, fully insured and maintained (including tyres), mileage paid at lease car rate.
9. Salary sacrifice car - fully insured and maintained (including tyres), your gross pay is reduced by the cost of the vehicle before tax, NI and pension deductions are calculated, mileage paid at business rates.
10. Salary sacrifice bikes up to £2k.

We are proud to be a diverse and inclusive organisation and there is a choice of staff networks that help you meet like-minded people.
