Job Purpose
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate individual to join our growing team at B&D Reside.
The Asset and Data Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring that housing assets are effectively managed and maintained. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate asset data, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and supporting the strategic planning of asset management activities.
The role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure that asset information is up-to-date and accessible, thereby supporting the organisations mission to provide safe and well-maintained housing for residents.
Key Deliverables
* Maintain and update the asset management database, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
* Collect and input data related to housing properties, including condition assessments, compliance records, and maintenance activities.
* Develop and implement procedures for data collection, validation, and reporting.
* Coordinate and monitor compliance programs, ensuring timely inspections, servicing, and remedial actions.
* Generate regular reports on asset performance, compliance status, and maintenance activities for management review.
* Support the development of business plans and investment strategies based on asset data analysis.
* Assist in the development and enhancement of the asset management system, adding functionality to support project delivery and compliance monitoring.
* Provide training and support to staff on the use of the asset management system and data procedures.
* Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and external agencies to ensure effective asset management and compliance.
* Communicate with residents regarding upcoming inspections, maintenance works, and compliance activities.
Person Specification:
Essential Requirements (key skills & qualifications)
* Experience in asset management, data management, or a related field within the housing sector.
* Strong understanding of housing compliance requirements, including health and safety regulations.
* Proficiency in using asset management systems and databases.
* Excellent data analysis and reporting skills.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Requirements (key skills & qualifications)
* Experience with system development and process improvement.
* Knowledge of property maintenance and building components.
