Your part in the performance
Our bustling head office on Holgate Park Drive currently requires a Kitchen Assistant to join our brilliant catering team. This role will offer the opportunity to be an integral part of a small team in our well-equipped staff café and bar. Our daily offering provides high quality, yet good value, breakfasts, hot lunches, snacks salads and sandwiches.
You will be working closely with our experienced head-chef and sous-chef, playing an instrumental part in the day-to-day operation of our staff canteen. Your day to day will include general kitchen and food service including.
Supporting our chefs in food preparation
Hot and Cold food counter service
Restocking during and after service
Making hot drinks to order
Assisting with cleaning the kitchen and washing up throughout the day
Taking cash/card payments
Cleaning down at the end of the day
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am until 2.30pm
From time to time there will also be some additional shifts required to cover functions held in the company bar and café area (usually once a month, no weekends).
Your Skills and Experience: What We're Looking For
Whilst we have an idea in mind of what we need, we are inclusive, and we want applications from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences interested in becoming part of this dynamic team. You will have previous experience of working in a café or restaurant. Some bar work could also be advantageous.
You will understand what good customer service is and be passionate about providing good quality food along with great service
You will have a good understanding of Health and Safety and Food Hygiene regulations
You will be friendly and helpful and enjoy working as part of a team
