We are excited to be offering an opportunity for one Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join Adult Community Psychological Services (ACP) in North East Essex. This is a full time post but we can consider part time hours.
The successful applicant would join supportive MDTs, within which the psychologists and psychotherapists in ACP are based. We have clinicians trained in a variety of models, including DBT, EMDR, CAT, ACT, CFT, psychodynamic psychotherapy and CBT (including TF- CBT, CBT-p). The opportunity to learn and be supervised within these models is available and we actively support people to pursue CPD opportunities to develop skills relevant to their role.

Adult Community Psychological Services are integrated within multi-disciplinary teams covering a broad geographical area, with bases in Colchester and Clacton-On-Sea. You will be working alongside a variety of experienced professionals from different backgrounds. We focus on providing a variety of psychological interventions to service users with highly complex and severe presentations who are also under the care of community teams.
The post-holder will be expected to become proficient in the delivery of one or more specialist evidence based psychological interventions (e.g. Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, EMDR or t-CBT, CBT-p, etc.) and contribute to the management and running of these therapeutic programmes. We are looking for someone also skilled in multi-disciplinary treatment planning, who can form the premises of respectful and collegial relationships with members of various disciplines and rise to the challenges posed by working in large teams and across teams.
We are looking for someone competent and experienced in delivering psychological assessments and interventions who is capable of assessing and managing clients and situations at high risk. Experience of offering consultations, of delivering group interventions and of developing clinical formulations is essential. Additional trauma training is desirable.
