One of Exeter's top law firms is looking to hire an experienced lawyer to support their successful Corporate team. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a corporate department of a law firm. Working within a non fee-earning capacity, the work will involve supporting the above areas of law in a number of areas, mainly focusing on keeping the wider corporate team up-to-date with knowledge, updated legislation, precedent updates, and other knowledge sharing. The role will involve conducting continuous legal research and then reporting back to the team with ideas and knowledge. Working as part of the firm's Knowledge Management team, this role will take responsibility for providing proactive knowledge management to the team. The ideal candidate will be motivated to keep themselves up to date with the latest legal developments and market practices while analyzing new laws and keeping the team up to date on any relevant and key areas they need to be aware of. Tasks will include:
* Undertaking legal research
* Creation and maintenance of templates
* Providing feedback on templates and queries
* Assisting the department with bids and pitches for new business
* Providing and organizing relevant training material and seminars
* Drafting LIF assumptions
* Identifying opportunities for cross-selling between teams
* Preparing seminars and training material for clients
Skills and experience required:
* An experienced lawyer, circa 3+ PQE
* Experience within corporate law
* A keenness to keep up to date with new legislation
