About the Role
We are currently looking to recruit an Instrument/Electrical Project Engineer for the Engineering Department. The ability to work safely, have a flexible approach towards work along with a strong work ethic will be the skills and attributes required for this role. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to work individually and work alongside the Engineering Manager and peers. A good working knowledge of Safe Systems of Work along with the ability to champion safety in the workplace is a key requirement for this role.
Responsibilities
* Responsibility for the complete management of multiple CAPEX and OPEX projects for the refinery, including but not limited to: project management, design, application for Capital approval from FEL 1 to FEL3, technical specification, safety, supervision, installation/construction, testing, documentation, training, commissioning and handover. Simultaneously meeting the required functionality, company and regulatory standards.
* To provide engineering and technical expertise and advice to the process areas and maintenance departments.
* Responsibility to manage all aspects of delegated projects.
* Responsible for identifying needs and improvement projects by liaison with Engineering Manager, Area Sponsor and Engineers.
Qualifications
B Eng / B Sc / Associate or Member of Chartered Institute
Minimum of 5 years experience in relevant role
Required Skills
* DCS Control Systems specifically Foxboro DCS - Knowledge and Experience
* PLC Systems specifically Allen Bradley PLC’s - Knowledge and Experience
* Management Of Change Process - Understanding and Awareness
* The Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) and ATEX Directive knowledge and experience. Certified training would be desirable.
* Electrical Safety awareness and competency.
* Management of Functional Safety Awareness within the Project Lifecycle and SIL Determination Experience (IEC 61508/61511). Certified training would be desirable.
* PED/PSSR Awareness
* Understanding and awareness of Intermediate Machinery Safety Standards & PUWER - Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998

* BS7671 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations - Knowledge and Experience

Pay range and compensation package

Pay: £48,000.00-£51,000.00 per year
