Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Senior Buyer to join our team in Madrid, Spain. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing complex procurement processes for infrastructure projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of goods and services.
* Develop and implement strategic procurement plans for large-scale infrastructure projects
* Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, contractors, and service providers
* Analyze market trends, conduct cost analyses, and identify opportunities for cost savings
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications
* Manage the entire procurement lifecycle, from requisition to delivery and payment
* Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and performance metrics
* Mitigate supply chain risks through proactive planning and risk assessment
* Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders
* Continuously improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in infrastructure-related industries
* Proven track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management
* Strong knowledge of procurement processes, best practices, and industry trends
* Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
* Strong project management abilities and experience in managing complex procurement projects
* Solid understanding of risk assessment and mitigation strategies in procurement
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
* Professional certification such as CPSM or CPM is preferred
* Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish is a plus
* Willingness to travel occasionally for supplier visits and industry events
