Job Summary
An rare opportunity has arisen to join an Individual Placement Support Team as an operational team manager to support with the expansion of the service.
The post will be covering the Northumberland and North Cumbria area of Cumbria Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS foundation trust, working alongside the IPS service lead for Central and South locality.
This is an exciting time to join the team as we develop the service and as part of this we have created an additional operational team manager post.
Main duties of the job
* Lead and oversee the implementation of the IPS Model and ensuring fidelity to the model.
* The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clinical teams and employers, identifying and addressing any barriers.
* Manage and support a team of Employment Supervisors and Specialists, providing training, coaching, supervision, and appraisals.
* Chair business meetings.
* Track and monitor performance against KPIs, such as job placement, access rates, service user feedback.
* Implement trust operational policies.

Knowledge And Experience Essential
* Demonstrable leadership or management experience.
* Experience working in a service where agreed targets are in place and demonstrating outcomes.
* Experience of leading service development and quality improvement initiatives.
* Substantial experience of providing vocational/employment support.
* Experience of supporting people with MH conditions into vocational/employment activities.
* Experience of assessing, planning and facilitating activities that focus on recovery and vocational skills.
* Experience of partnership working, negotiation, and liaison work with other agencies.
* Experience of staff supervision and coaching.
* Experience of opening up job opportunities with a range of employers.
* Significant evidenced based knowledge of best practice in providing support to a range of clients in accessing employment and/or employment-related activities.

* Substantial understanding of return to work planning.
* Understanding of the employment needs and barriers faced by people with mental health conditions in relation to employment.

* Quality Improvement Systems for Leaders or willing to undertake within agreed timescale.

* Level 3 Diploma in employability services sector qualification.
